Carrot and orange make a naturally sunny juice, with lemon sharpening the edges and ginger adding a warm finish. Use a juicer for a clear pour or blend and strain for a no-special-equipment version.

- 1 small green apple, cored
- ½ lemon, peeled
- 1-inch piece fresh ginger
Method
- 1. Cut the carrots, oranges, apple, lemon and ginger into pieces sized for your juicer chute.

Good to know
Peel citrus fully, removing as much white pith as practical, so the juice stays sweet rather than bitter.
Questions, answered.
Can I make this without a juicer?
Blend the chopped ingredients with ½ cup cold water, then strain through a nut-milk bag or fine sieve.
How long does fresh juice keep?
Drink it immediately for the clearest flavor, or refrigerate in a full sealed jar for up to 24 hours.
