Good to know
Frozen fruit makes the texture here. Cut ripe bananas into coins before freezing so your blender has an easier morning.
Questions, answered.
How do I make a smoothie bowl thick?
Start with frozen fruit and use only the small amount of liquid listed. Pause to scrape the blender rather than adding a large splash of milk.
Can I make this smoothie bowl ahead?
It is best straight from the blender. You can freeze the blended base for up to one week, then let it soften for a few minutes before stirring and topping.
