Tahini gives tart blackberries a toasted, savory counterpoint in this thick spoonable bowl. A little lemon keeps the color and flavor bright, and a few crunchy toppings make it feel like a proper meal.
Ingredients
- 1½ cups frozen blackberries
- 1 frozen banana, sliced
- ½ cup plain yogurt
- 1 tablespoon tahini
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice

Substitutions
- Use sunflower seed butter instead of tahini for a different nut-free topping.
- Swap plain yogurt for coconut yogurt or kefir.
- Use hemp hearts or chopped walnuts in place of sesame seeds.
Good to know
Tahini can separate in its jar; stir it thoroughly before measuring so the bowl gets both sesame solids and oil.
Questions, answered.
Why is my bowl not thick enough?
Use fully frozen fruit and begin with the listed small amount of milk. Scrape and pause the blender rather than adding a large splash.
Can I use fresh blackberries?
Yes, but freeze them first for the best texture, or add extra ice and expect a softer bowl.
