Good to know
Ripe kiwi should yield slightly to a gentle press. Its natural acidity means you may not need any sweetener.
Questions, answered.
Can I use frozen kiwi?
Yes. Frozen kiwi works well; reduce the ice slightly so the smoothie does not become too thick.
How do I keep the smoothie from tasting bitter?
Use a ripe pear and baby spinach, and add the lime gradually. Very mature spinach or kiwi skins can taste more assertive.
